Morganite beads have a number of features:

1. High hardness and density.
2. Prismatic hexagonal shape.
3. Characteristic glass luster.
4. An uneven, cancellous fracture.

Another feature of morganite beads is the creation of a refraction effect. The composition of this mineral includes metallic impurities, thereby minimizing the likelihood of splitting during processing.

Processing technology

Untreated crystals have heterogeneous inclusions, cracks, featureless luster and internal cavities. To eliminate such defects, the mineral is cut. In some cases, heat treatment can be used to improve the color.
